Lawyer's Staffing is currently looking to place a Litigation Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant in the Virginia Beach area. Duties will include but are not necessarily limited to: prepare and proofread correspondence and documentation, maintain attorney time sheets for billing, answer telephone and take messages, maintain attorney itinerary, maintain client and firm files, dictation.

Qualified candidates will have either a four year degree from an accredited college or university or a minimum of seven years experience as a legal secretary/legal assistant. In addition candidates must have two or more years experience in the areas of civil litigation, environmental litigation and creditors' rights.

Skills:

·         Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe and WordPerfect

·         Proficient in Outlook and STI (TABS and PracticeMaster) applications, preferred

·         Type 70 WPM

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills
